Coloured eyeliners - a review

Following on from my black eyeliners post recently, I dug out a small selection of my most worn coloured pencil liners to show you.

Top to bottom: Bourjois metallic liner in 51 Noir Effet Mirroir, Natural Collection Eye Lines - doesn't have a name but is green, Une Beauty Sfumato Eyes Pencil in S13, Mac Technakohl in Earthline, No7 Amazing Eyes pencil in Blue Gray.

In the same order, without flash.

And again, with flash:

The Bourjois one, at the top, is a beautiful steel grey shot through with silver shimmer.  As usual with the Bourjois kohl pencils, this is creamy and highly pigmented, but stays put for ages.  A great value option.  The Natural Collection green pencil is very pretty.  It's almost an olive green, but is brighter than most olive pencils you'll find on the high street.  As a green-eyed monstress, this works very well for me.

The Une Beauty Sfumato pencil is something of a hit and miss.  It swatches really well - the consistency is very creamy, and this particular shade is a lovely soft mink, which also blends well.  However, I find it barely shows up on my eye.  I usually use this on my waterline, which may sound bizarre, but it does give a slight brightening effect, without being obvious.  Wouldn't buy this again, but a nice added extra to have.

Mac's Technakohl in Earthline is by far my most-used eyeliner, and I'll be devoting the next Mac Monday to this, so look out for the full review then.

And last but by no means least is the No7 Amazing Eyes pencil in Blue Grey, which has been receiving a lorra lorra love lately.  I wear this most days for work, as it works really well on its own, or as an accompaniment to pretty much any of my eyeshadows, especially Mac's Copperplate.

What are your favourite coloured eyeliners?
