No7 Eye Make Up Remover

I bought this, the No7 Beautiful Skin Eye Make-Up Remover, a couple of weeks ago using one of the £5 vouchers that No7 often give out (it's not worth buying anything in the range without one of these).  I hadn't tried it before but having just run out of my second bottle of the Klorane Cornflower Eye Make Up Remover, and being in the vicinity of a Boots, I decided to give this a whirl.  WHEN WILL I LEARN THAT WHIM PURCHASES ARE RARELY A SUCCESS?

Despite looking promising in the bottle, and by that I mean it looks like the famed Lancome Bi-Facil with the double-layer water/oil solution, unlike the Lancome Bi-Facil, this is fairly useless.  Don't get me wrong, it does remove eye make-up but it's a struggle.  Four or five cotton pads PER EYE seem to be what it takes to get me mascara and shadow-free, and for me, that's just not good enough.  Also, it slightly stings.  Thankfully it only cost me £2.75, so it's not all bad.

So, lesson of the day: even if it's £5 off, don't buy it without a bit of research first.  You're welcome.

  1. I use this all of the time and love it! Granted, my favourite EMR is Lancôme Bi-Facil, but it's expensive to use everyday - and I find this almost as good. I'm a heavy eye make up wearer (3 shadows, liquid liner and mascara every day), and find that a ad per eye works just fine. Hold the soaked pad on the eyelid for 20 seconds per eye and hey presto! The mascara just dissolves away. I guess this just shows how differently people react to products... I also love No 7's version of Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish, just a tip ;)
